On Saturday Bailee was invited to participate in a swim meet down in Antwerp, Belgium. She was NOT excited to go and was really forced in to it but she did awesome! Her first swim was a Medley Relay. She raced with two 13 yrd olds and an 11 yr old. She swam the breast stroke and did a great job. Her second swim was freestyle. She came in first for her heat but 9th overall. Next up was backstroke. Bailee did not want to swim the backstroke but her coach signed her up anyway. She looked like she was out for a leisurely swim and came in last. Her fourth swim was a 100 IM. She did a great job and her backstroke looked so much better. She came in 2nd out of 4. Last up was Breast Stroke. The breast stroke is Bailee's strong point. She just glides along in the water bringing her father to tears every time he sees her. She came out strong and did a great job. We aren't sure where she placed because we didn't stick around long enough for the results to be posted. Overall it was a fantastic day for her and a great experience. We hope she will now make the swim team so we can all go to Sweden in April to watch her compete!!!

Go Bailee! I'm hoping for Sweden for her as well. Allison, isn't it just crazy that your child could have a swim meet in Sweden? It still hits me know that I'm home and Rachel talks about France... :)
Way to go Bailee! That is awesome. You and Brenna will have to go to Lava one summer and you can give her some lessons.
That is awesome! I admire anyone who is a strong swimmer. Triathlons have given me a great respect for the sport. Look forward to a post about Sweden :).
